FundPath is a Canadian loan-comparison and referral service. This policy explains how we handle information submitted through our website, advertising, and communications.

Information we collect

We may collect contact information, financing preferences, application details, website usage information, and communication preferences that you provide directly or through our forms.

How we use information

• To match visitors with relevant financing providers or referral partners.
• To respond to inquiries and deliver requested information.
• To improve our website, advertising, security, and customer experience.
• To send promotional communications where permitted by law.

Sharing and service providers

We may share necessary information with participating lenders, referral partners, email and hosting providers, analytics providers, and other vendors that help operate FundPath. We do not sell personal information as an independent data product.

Tool access and local financial data

Email signup is required before using FundPath planning tools or downloading resource PDFs. After signup, a signed access cookie remembers access in this browser for 30 days, then expires. The cookie contains no budget data or calculator inputs. Clearing cookies removes remembered access; you may need to sign up again.

Money Planner entries are stored only in local browser storage on your device. FundPath does not receive your balances, income or expenses. Mortgage refinance calculations run in your browser, and your financial inputs stay local. The access cookie is separate from this local financial data and does not upload it. Use the planner’s reset control or clear local browser storage to remove your saved plan; export it first if you want to keep a copy.

Consent and email preferences

When you sign up for free tool access or request a toolkit, we collect your email address, optional first name, province or territory, selected financing interest or refinancing goal, consent timestamp, consent wording/version and form source. We use Elastic Email to deliver the requested resource and send a private submission record to the FundPath inbox for retention and follow-up. This is an email-based record, not a dedicated subscriber database. Lead-magnet submissions are not stored in Brevo. Requesting a toolkit is not a financing application and does not submit your details to a lender. We may measure broad form interactions, such as views, starts, successful submissions and downloads, without including your email address, name or financial planner values in those events. Marketing consent is presented in an unchecked checkbox with its terms explained before submission. You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Transactional or legally required messages may still be sent when applicable.

Retention and safeguards

The signed access cookie is retained in your browser for 30 days; this is the access-cookie lifetime, not a promise to delete email submission or consent records after 30 days. We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal requirements, fraud prevention, and record keeping. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable Canadian law and legitimate record-retention requirements.
